Single Leg Leg Press Twan van Gendt

Single-legged Leg Pressing Twan van Gendt

This video shows Twan van Gendt BMX rider and Olympic finalist 2012 in London performing a single-legged Leg Press.

This video is a good example to show how a max effort or near-max effort can take multiple second to completion and the movement velocity is low.

We generally use the Leg Press, if athletes aren’t able to squat. In this case, Twan was recovering from a broken collarbone, which did not allow him to support the bar on his shoulders to perform a Front Squat, nor on the back to perform a Back Squat.
